→ Who We Are
John’s unique background combines medical practice, experience as an innovator, and insight into healthcare investing. At Stanford, he co-led the first ER-based academic-private incubator and helped healthcare startups validate their technology and solutions. In addition to completing Stanford Fellowships in Innovation and Biodesign, he also completed an MBA from Johns Hopkins University focused on healthcare entrepreneurship and pursued executive education in AI in healthcare from MIT/Sloan. He is a venture partner with SpringTide, worked as a Venture Fellow with StartUp Health, and is a physician advisor for both Zus and Monovo. He can execute private-academic partnerships, improve product validation, and communicate effectively with professionals focused on healthcare, business, and technology. He is focused on improving healthcare through medical innovation.
Jamey is a mission driven serial social impact founder with 3 decades of experience leading and scaling companies in healthcare and new media. With over 10 years of investment banking, private equity and VC experience, he has worked on over $8bn of transactions for industry leading companies such as Google, Six Flags, Greenfield Online, Premier Retail Networks and others. As a Founder, Jamey has led and co-founded multiple companies including Emergent Medical Associates, Benchmark Hospitalists, Pacific HealthWorks, Inscribe Health and Cloudbreak Health. Jamey has had the honor and privilege of coaching and mentoring hundreds of founders through his position as an Entrepreneur in Residence at StartUp Health, the world’s leading health moonshot community.
